fun home
Fun Home is an autobiographical off-Broadway musical, based upon the eponymous novel by Alison Bechdel. Taking place in the contemporary past, Alison looks back on her life through flashbacks to the recent past. Situated at the centre of the story, is the problematic relationship between Alison and her father. When Alison tells her father that she identifies herself as a lesbian, he does not support her in this. Her father appears to be gay himself but never came out. Her coming-out set his life upside down. In summer 2019, Fun Home played at International Theatre Amsterdam (ITA).
